at least. However if you look at our last 18 games-18 was Andy Ritchie's unlucky number!-then Keith Hill has, by us losing last night, achieved our worst 18 game sequence of points since we were promoted in 2005-6. Andy Ritchie managed just 15 from his 1st -and last! - 18 games Simon Davey's worst 18 amassed 15 pts as did Mark Robins. Keith Hill has just achieved 13 points from the last 18 games take it or leave it how you will! NB only League games taken into account
Re: just a fact-not meant to be anti-Hill because I think he deserves another season. At least we are playing nice attractive football though!
Re: just a fact-not meant to be anti-Hill because I think he deserves another season. Sacking form, granted. Good job we had promotion form earlier in the year.
Re: just a fact-not meant to be anti-Hill because I think he deserves another season. paul, sorry but its different. 7/11 his a lot of missing players. Butterfield was on a diffetent level and worth a hell of a lot. he was here with is mate drinkwater and when they where on it was bril. ritchie had 18 games after pre seasin when he planned, you cant plan and work with a group in january when your playing league games. Ask ANY manager or listen to ANY manager and they will all say you do not plan and build a team then you do it in the summer.
Sorry Hemsworth but its a results based business. Btw im not being anti-hill etc i hope he turns things around.
Re: just a fact-not meant to be anti-Hill because I think he deserves another season. What about the other 2 managers then?
Re: just a fact-not meant to be anti-Hill because I think he deserves another season. I honestly can't remember any recent manager have an injury list as long as Hill and many of them are key players. This is a factor.
Re: just a fact-not meant to be anti-Hill because I think he deserves another season. Factor yes! excuse No!, we trimmed the squad so much in the last few years to reduce the wage bill and running costs that we always ran the risk of been in this situation where by we have a starting 11 of key players but nothing after that, as soon as you pick up a couple of injuries we will inevitably struggle. this i have to say is not Mr Hill's fault its is from higher up, but where Mr Hill is at fault is bringing in sub-standard players that cannot perform anywhere near the level that is required, Mr Hill also lacks the ability to inspire people, i have listened to him many a time and he is always talking the club down saying we are over acheiving! now correct me if am wrong but doesnt that send out a negative message to the players, fans and potential investers as it seems we are content to just 'survive' when we really could be pushing up the table!. i was going to wait till the end of the season to get this off my chest but i feel about now it the time for it!
