But after watching King Keith's Player interview yesterday, he mentioned that some players who have only a year or two left on their current deals (at other clubs), could come to an agreement with their clubs, mutual termination etc. He then said we could possibly pick up some of those as we go through September. Well, I've just noticed that Tom Kennedy and Leicester have done the above (mutual termination). And seen as he was signed by King Keith for Rochdale in 2007, and can play at left back (an area he said he wanted to strengthen), I wonder if he could be a current target....? Like I said though, just a guess...
I've not heard Hill's interview yet, but I thought exactly the same when I saw he'd been released by Leicester.
We have a young left back in the club Matty Steade, why does he not try to develop him a little more? He was involved in the pre season tour and was involved with the pre season friendlies, and from what I have seen and heard about this young lad he has some potential which KH could certainly develop further. Although the buzz word most people will use is experience (and righly so), but how do these young lads gain experience without being test initally at higher levels
I'm sure Keith Hill would love to play Matt Steade play but would you infront of the Barnsley fans? I would't. There seems to be a culture about and its lets get at the players. We saw on here, there was a lot of criticism at one player before the game At the AMEX and that was before a ball was kicked. I wouldn't expect to see Matt at all this season, From what ive heard from keith hill and the other coaching staff on player his that Matt will be for next season. Personally i like Matt steade a lot, hard worker who likes to get forward. Didn't get chance in the first year because of Carlisle(Ben) in both u18 matches and Reserves.
