I thought Payne was more effective than Bradshaw when he came on Probably because Bradshaw was up against two bigger stronger very good centre backs Paynes speed and strength seemed to cause them more problems when he came on and I was opening he would be on the field earlier
Not really a negative just an observation, think we'd do well to start Payne on Wednesday as he'll cause Caulker and Onouha some problems
I worked with a relative of Payne's - she says he's a lovely bloke- she's made up for him. Hopefully going to meet him at a christening in September
I would argue that this is a positive. I can't imagine many thought that Payne would be coming on from the bench when we signed him so for me that's the positive. And regarding Bradshaw, he was never going to get the chances against Derby and I thought he did a decent enough job.
He did a good job of taking the attention of their centre backs allowing the creation of chances to others. It's s team game , leave the starting line up as it is , it's not broken .
I'd suggest it's easier to look quick and strong during a 20 minute cameo against tiring defenders than it is to do so from the start. Unchanged XI for me. Bring Payne off the bench to run 'em ragged towards the end.
Not sure why you're taking the piss. It's a genuine weakness in his game. So much so that he cost us a goal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Chill out only jesting like. He has just jumped up 3 divisions or whatever he is going to have weaknesses and things to work on in his game but he looks like they is something to work with and looking foreward to how his oakwell career pans out.
Remember Fletchers first games - looked great coming on from the bench against tiring defenders but out of his depth when starting. Didnt take him too long to fix it Hopefully Payne will progress the same way - if he does we will have done very well but for me its too soon to be starting him
