    Okay, BFC decided that they wanted Constantine over him, but at no point have Barnsley tried to offload him as I see it, it's just that Vale demanded him in return for Constantine else they wouldn't accept the deal...

    Well it was either that deal or you pay £250,000 for Leon as that is the price quoted to any interested party, so I am assuming they couldn't afford the fee without the swap.

    couldnt have been able to afford 250k....

    shep went on record saying neither him or davey wants richards to go...should be starting on saturday imho

    They would not accept money only

    We would have paid it.

    Richards could not agree terms with Vale either.

    At the end of the day its likely Constantine fancied his bigger wages or signing on fee when out of contract at the end of the season.

    BFC's failure in this case is the publicity they gave it.
