Out of the Football League after 77 years, (despite Michael Boulding's 20 odd goals!)
Regular visits to Field Mill don't seem that far distant - or for that matter to old adversaries Chesterfield, Bradford,
Rotherham, Grimsby, Notts County etc all now languishing in the 'fourth' division. We've come along
way and we should be grateful for our current status. Mansfield's off-field problems have been a big
factor in their demise. It can happen to almost any club. Hope they make a swift return anyway.

appears theres a historic " tale to tell " which will probably come out in the summer- ironice thing is that despite his 20 odd goals boulding appeared to miss a few at the w/e.was it there that brendan o` callaghan scored the goal that went a way to helping us stay in div 1 . Admin here they probably come - but a chance to start again.
nice reaction from a " mature man " to your original well meant post

RE: Where does the midlands turn into the north? nt

If they were in the JP Trophy or league cup would they be in the northern or southern sections? Not that that would be the deciding factor.

I know Notts is in the midlands but I always though of them being a northern team.

serious question, why do some posters on here attack nearly every post by DB3K, it seems he's pulled up for typos, spelling errors and now geography....

if you dont like what he puts then dont read his posts.... (dunno)

however, just to show how debatable locations are

Rotherham are considered a midland club while barnsley are northern. Barnsley ladies and rotherham ladies were in the same league tier but had to play in different leagues due to geographical location, one played with welsh sides, the other with middlesbrough
