FAO Rob Kozluk. What happened over the summer that stopped you being an adequete left back and made you a shocking football player? Truely awful.
Anyway, less of the negatives eh?
MOTM: Butterfield, by an absolute country mile. The only player that actually wanted to play football, and not hoof ball to Odejayi. Also bailed Kozluk out on many occasions and was very unlucky with a few shots on goal, particularly one in the second half that the keeper saved well to tip it round the post for a corner. Its been said before this week, but to see a lad who can play equally as well with either foot is very rare these days. Definately deserves his shirt for the Coventry game.
Hammill: Competent debut. Was again unlucky with a couple of efforts on goal. A few great crosses into the box.... the type of stuff Andy Gray will feed on week on week. Hope we still sign him.
Boggy: Excellent finish. Just what you expect in a decent centre forward. Nice touch to come celebrate with the fans when he scored after chants of 'Daniel Bogdanovic' throughout the second half. A few of the guys i'd attended the match with had a word with him during the warm up. Genuine nice lad and turned down the chance to play for Malta tomorrow against Georgia to play tonight for us. Commitment of the highest order.
Overall, should have won the game by more than 1-0. Enough chances to to have scored 3/4 goals tonight. No real threat from Lincoln. They had a decent centre forward (wore 9, not sure of his name), and Kozluk made their right winger look like Cristiano Ronaldo.

Lee.... honest opinion on OddJob..... He said on the official site he has nothing to prove..........so given he never scores goals in the league and only in pre season !!!! Was his contribution to the team that good that he should get a place even though he does not hit the back of the net? Chris posted that we should ignore the pre season hype about his goal scoring powers....and I know its only 2 games but everyone was quick to praise his hit rate in thse friendlies.......
spoke to Boggy... in the warm-up. As Lee said, he told me that he had "refused" to play for Malta. He was great last night when he came on - workrate was fantastic and he earned that goal by forcing a mistake with his closing down of the full back, plus when he gets a chance id always back him to score. If he plays regularly id expect 15+ goals from him this season. Kozluk was sh*te last night but he has had a number of 'off' games in the past and come back good. However, if he doesnt sort himself out id be more than happy for Potter to slot in at LB when Moore/Thompson are available for the central defensive position.
He is right, he hasn't got anything to prove .......... ......he has proven over the last 2 seasons that he is a League 2 player
Kozluk started last season the same as this poor, he did improve as the season went on, I'm sure after a league cup game last season Davey dropped him and that was when he started to improve.
Maybe he was being economical with the truth http://www.timesofmalta.com.mt/arti...g-omits-bogdanovic-haber-for-georgia-friendly or we had an arrangement with the Malta FA already.
RE: He did Foster was the same beginning of last season and was jittery at Hillsbrough how did he do last night?
Honest answer... Basically... Bogdanovic has to play. He's the only goalscorer we've got at the minute.
I think Kayode is massively misunderstood, and thats down to the way we play football when he is in the side. We try to use him as this target man. Big long ball for him to try and win header after header. The trouble is.... his ability in heading the ball is shocking.
There were 2 occasions last night where we played the ball into the channel and his pace and power put the defenders under immediate pressure. His attributes are pace and power. So, if we are going to keep lumping the ball up to him in the air, he becomes completely in effective, and therefore gets the abuse of the fans.
Macken has the experience, but i think Macken only benefits when he plays alongside Kayode, because he feeds off the big mans scraps.
I'd love to see Boggy play with Hume.... but thats not going to happen for some time. Therefore, we need another. If our aim is to play the way we played last night, then Andy Gray would be the ideal candidate. We tried to get crosses in early, particularly through Hammill, and Andy Gray is the player that goes and wins those. Kayode doesn't, because its not what he does. Heading and attacking crosses just isn't his cup of tea. He's much happier running the channels pressuring defenders into mistakes.

"pressuring defenders into mistakes" Were you on about Boggy? Cos that's the only one I saw doing that at Lincoln...
