Bitterly disappointed we've lost again. Hit by two breakaway goals when we switched off at the back. However, I felt the performance deserved better. Bailey, Brown, Hourihane, Bree, Treacy, McHale all played well tonight. Bailey would have been my MOTM.
I agree i was more impressed with the type of football we wanted to play tonight than at anytime last season, young Bree , looks like we have a good player there, thought Treacy looked decent behind the front two, Mchale looked good when he came on, we just needed Winnal to take his chances
Some promise, JLWBL. But we still seem to have a soft centre. No-one to do the heavy lifting in midfield, and certainly no leadership. We were a shambles defensively, for the first. And it seemed to me Crewe bossed large chunks of the game in the centre of the park while we ball-watched. Early days, and the team needs to get used to each other. But how long will it take?
Beware Strange Men Bearing Gifts From S****horpe..... First they gave us The Don. Now they've sent us Sam Fookall.
Basically starting from scratch, most of the team didn't have a full pre season together and its going to take time and a lot of patience, something i personally am prepared to give them. In my opinion there is a lot of promise there and if it takes a season of consolidation then so be it. **** the doom mongerers. Tarn forever
No idea. I think we'll do well this season. However, I've always admitted I know nothing about football. Thankfully, there's enough experts to educate me. As for Winnall, I'd be more worried if the lad wasn't getting into position to miss these chances. But, as I say, I know nowt. It's far better to write players off after a couple of games.
I know less than you (I'll not be out-humbled). After all, I told myself tonight couldn't be worse than Setdi!
I thought the only thing missing tonight was clinical finishing to some attractive build up play. I still know nothing.
2 breakaway goals? Just watch the replay. You'll see their first goal had probably a dozen passes before netting. The second goal was a beaut too - summat we could only dream of. Soz
No. But everyone knows more about football than me so I accept I'm not entitled to express my opinion on how I saw the game.
