Superbly defended by the Reds this afternoon to end Ipswich's 100% home record. Sousa again simply outstanding in defence. Muller brilliant save from free kick. Werling looking better and better at left back, both defensively and overlapping in attack. With some more pace up front, or down the flanks in the last quarter, I think we could have won it. An away point well defended for after a very bright first twenty minutes. Full match report to come later.
Going by commentary, he put us in trouble shielding the ball like the other night when Muller needed treatment and then gave away a silly free kick just outside the box to get booked. Doesn't sound like an "outstanding" performance to me.
but this guy was actually there, you were not this guy saw it first hand, you heard a commentator so how on earth can you judge
I didn't go to the game and I didn't hear the commentary and it didn't sound like an outstanding performance to me! In fact I didn't hear owt so they must have been *****!
RE: but this guy was actually there, you were not If going on what I HEARD from a commentator AT THE MATCH. It's all about opinions. Adam made it sound like Souza didn't play well and this guy says he was outstanding. People do have different views of the same match, but I think i'm more likely to go with the view of Adam.
so there ya go Thomas your opinion is worthless as alleged by Dreamboy 3000 how does that feel Thomas
So, basically You're not arguing your own point of view you're arguing someone else’s. Gotta say, I'd have to know someone really well and trust them implicitly to do that and even then I'd be pretty reticent.
Did I Say Worthless? You've been back two minutes from your sabatical and already trying to stir. Everyone has different opinions. Thomas is entitled to his. All i'm saying is i'm going with the view of the press man that works on behalf of Barnsley World.
going on what was heard from a commentator at the match you are going with adam..so you just discard Thomas, someone who was at the game to, therefore you are rubbishing his view.
well their local rag agrees with thomasevans "German keeper Heinz Muller made a couple of tremendous saves to keep his side in the game while defender Dominic Werling was also outstanding for the Tykes".
RE: going on what was heard from a commentator at the match you are going with adam..so Not at all. If that's the case, aren't you rubbishing the view of Adam by agreeing with a completely different view? Souza might have played well, but the word "outstanding" is totally overused by fans and commentators tend to be more realistic with things.
Who is correct Thomasevans or Adam the commentator? I dunno myself,
but dont they both have a valid opinion as they were both at the game?

RE: Probably somewhere between the 2 nt I can only go on what I heard and so although Souza (with a Z not a S) might have played well, I don't see how someone who got booked for giving away a free kick on the edge of the box and who's shielding put Muller in trouble two matches running (as said by Adam) can have had an "outstanding" game.
