Leicester didn't create much, probably three good chances, and they scored from two. I felt the only difference was the strikers, there's looked lively and ours were terrible. Whenever the midfield tried to create something, the strikers went in the opposite direction. If Howard was looking to thread one through, they wouldn't make a run. I think if we'd have had a couple of decent strikers, the result could have been much different. In midfield we didn't seem bad and from open play, the defence looked ok as well. It was two cases of losing concentration, otherwise I thought we matched them. Oh, and I thought the ref was good as well.
Yes it was, they were there for the taking and we werern't up to it. The front 2 pairing must be the worst ever, and i've seen some ***** down at oakwell.
not sure if we've had him at home think we had him at torquay a bit ago, called singh apparently. thought he got most decisions correct and was probably the best ref i've seen this season.
did OK spotted most of their sneaky trips and pushes. Didn't even book Togwell when he could have gone off and missed Nyatanga's handball in our area 10 mins from the end, so did well, all said, one of the better ones.
When the opposition goes into a two goal lead ... ... just how many more chances do they need to create. Leicester (just like Hull), got into a two goal lead and we never looked like threatening it.
Odejayi through on keeper/Fosters follow up Mostto through on keeper, second half Howards header Howards free kick Souza's header from corner of what i remember.
I agree fully about the strikeforce But, had we raced into an early lead, the opposition have to then ask the questions. Unfortunately (as we have seen in the matches against Southampton & Plymouth), teams in this league DO have the firepower to get themselves back into a game from two goals down. We do not (and it shows when the heads go down).
clinical finishing in front of there goal would have told a different story ,a Dominic werling blast or a Brian Howard force it through could have got us back into the game ,through the second half we looked more dominating but for the finishing ,not tested there goal keeper. first half goals for leicester was a case of ball watching . relied on Sousa on his own to get us out of trouble in previous games and other defensive players have to take account of themselves although later in the second half equipped themselves well ,if this was the case for the opening 20 minutes no goals would have been scored against us. i think they did their homework on JCR with his din-king moves ,they knew how to cancel them out and cut our passes out.. our fitness levels have made us quicker to the ball in other games which we seem to have lacked early on although in the last quarter we should have got something from the game.
