    First thing I said was I was a Barnsley lad, a Tarn fan and we're above Sheffield Utd in the table. Paulette was not amused.

    For the professor thing. I've my inaugural lecture this evening, it was supposed to publicise that but it's already fully booked, so I mainly plugged Barnsley Skeptics in the Pub, Old No7 and my band, Wilde Sammon.

    When I turn Radio Sheffield on and here her voice I immediately switch channels. Just find her irritating to listen to, and she seems to be on nearly all the time.

    She seemed a pleasant genuine person. We chatted quite a bit off air and she appeared interested in what I do. She did seem shocked that I'm 'normal', in fact that was her first comment off air.
