Not bad little stores. Clean. Staff taking pride in their roles. People from all walks of life using both shops. Shame half of shambles street is empty.
Any centre forwards in stock? Or are we having to bite the bullet and go to Marks, where it once and take it back?
Seeing as you can buy such things as partridge, pheasant, quail, pesto, chunks of italian crudo ham, anchovies, fresh baked ciabatta reindeer, venison, free range chicken, artichokes, sun-dried tomatoes and load of other stuff (not exactly bargain basement 'junk food' ) shopping at those two places makes you an astute shopper. It is a myth that they are targeting chavs' and 'poor people' and anyone shunning them is simply a snob. Lidl and Eurospin are 1st stop for many Italians where we have a house and they only go in places like Iper (one of their main supermarkets etc.) for stuff they cant get (I never find we can get everything from a single shop.
I tend to shop at Tesco, occasionally Morrisons...tried Asda but you can't put some of their ready meals in the oven as the packaging isn't oven proof... :nails:
I went in Hugo Boss at Meadowhall last night ......................£65 for a f*****g tie.......I've bought cars cheaper than that...nice tie mind
For thrifty say Iceland ...have you got one in Barnsley ? Lidl was one of the first stores I shopped at, dont tell me that Barnsley folk are buying some foreign muck as they used to say.
Free range English chicken from Lidl cost £4 when the same weight cost me just under £7 from Sainsburys
