Don Rowing says the club are looking to use the cup money towards rebuilding the West Stand. What do we think? Better spent on players but then again I always find it exciting when improvements are made to the ground - gives you the impression that we are on the up.
What is the point. Will make ground even lower than sub-50% full each week. That's the lowest in our league. Would be great for it to be like the East Stand I must admit, but Championship stability first please.
Be nice if they could make it go round the corners to join the North and Ponte End Trouble is we just dont have the attendance to justify it.
I’d rather see the money spent on players. What type of stand can you build for 3 million anyway. Get the money spent on players. If we go up then use the profits for a new stand. We don’t fill Oakwell as it is and surely its better to have a better squad.
Might not necessarily be bigger. Just up-to-date. The current facilities are beyond a joke. Good move.
RE: Be nice if they could make it go round the corners to join the North and Ponte End Can't see it being anywhere near the capacity of the East Stand, due to our crowds and the lack of space. Unless they build back and somehow take posession of that part of Grove Street.
Smaller stand with social facilities etc is my guess.

Good idea as the club can also look to put more corporate stuff in it and expand the number of boxes etc. Trouble is it's a bit hemmed in by the road which will effect the layout.
ye of little faith Big Dons submitted plans for a brand spanker of a stand, shiny new seats , the works - facing Grove Street
RE: Re-building West Stand thats what I was thinkin - thought the council and Patrick cryne owned the land and stadium?
New Stand Better press facilities and a Supporters' Social Club running the length of the stand. Guaranteed income.
