    That we had a 1 million pound bid accepted for Kevin Lisbie in the summer, he didn't want to move up north so Ipswich got him on the cheap for around 600k. Any truth in this? I didn't belive it myself and i'm glad we didn't get him. Never rated him.

    i know we tried 4 him but dint know price thank god we dint get him not rated at ipswich

    I heard he didn't want to come up north

    And our name was mentioned, but I didn't know we made a concrete bid for him.

    He says it was after Hume, Hume arrived early June didn't he? Didn't think Cryne would spend much after splasing out on bringing Iain to the club.

    I remember Davey telling the star that he went after Philips and he wonted to stay in midlands, lisbie and he wonted to stay down south, Eastwood and he was too far into the deal with Coventry. Davey always said that he wonted 2 strikers but he only got 1 and a loan.

    So basically Rigters was brought as a panic buy and it obviously hasn't paid off.....

    Not sure about the panic bit

    On paper he looked a good loan signing - playing for a prem side - dutch U23 international

    I am not going to criticise Davey for that one - some signings that look good on paper turn out to be pants - this is one.

    Fortunatley only a loan - I doubt he will be back next year :)
