    That David Nugent Will Miss The Game v Us Because He Got Sent Off And Had 5 Bookings This Season So Far

    Can Anyone Confirm This Please

    Technically, I think he has had five yellows: two in yesterday's match (resulting in a dismissal) and three others. Not sure how the authorities will deal with that though.

    <font size="2">7. PUNISHMENTS – Relating to First Team Competitive Matches

    (a) CAUTIONS ADMINISTERED ON THE FIELD OF PLAY
    (i) If a Player accumulates five recorded cautions in FTCM between the opening day of the Playing Season and the last day in February in the same Season, he will be suspended automatically for a period covering: -
    One First Team Match

    (viii) Any period of suspension arising from recording cautions will commence on the seventh day following the date of his last offence. The suspension will cover all approved First Team matches until such time as his Club’s First Team has completed the number of matches appropriate to the punishment in approved Competitions during the period covered by its opening league match and ending with the final match in which the Club is playing in an approved domestic Competition.(b) PLAYERS SENT OFF UNDER LAW 12 (7)
    A Player who is dismissed from the Field of Play for receiving a second caution in the same match will be suspended automatically from all approved First Team matches commencing forthwith, until such time as his Club’s First Team has completed its next match in an approved Competition.

    Depends how the league treat the 2 bookings yesterday

    He'll be suspended for their next match (midweek) due to the sending off as that takes place immediately.

    If those 2 bookings are both also added to the tally of yellow cards, then he'll face a further 1 match ban which takes place for the next game 7 days after the last booking which is the 16th, so I reckon he misses next Saturday's for that (should he be facing a ban)

    As you say - He'll play against us but I think he'll miss there next 2
