Not everybody who went to Cardiff is going to buy a season ticket

It doesn't work like that, clearly. It's not disgusting, just common sense. Big games attract more fans.

    It's a hard season ahead

I think it's about what we should have expected. People will continue to see what the standard is and pay on the day. A large percentage of the fan base is distributed around the country, and for that matter the world, and can't afford the time and money to travel to every game so we'll never get anywhere near the season ticket take-up that we get for the big matches.

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.
Are we doing "better fan than you" stuff already?

I wasn't expecting this until around Tuesday.

I took 3 non barnsley fans with me and 1 Barnsley fan who lives in St Albans and can't get to many matches. So, thats 1 to 5.

    What a ridiculous statement CJD

To suggest that all who went to Cardif should be regulars at the well.

I was with a large group, of whom I was the only regular. A couple were fans, whilst others were going for the occasion. Were they wrong to attend, given that they had no intention of going to Oakwell on a regular basis this season.

If that's the case, perhaps you'd of rather we just had 6,500 fans at Cardif, and turned away anybody who hadn't seen 20 games through the season.

    Look....

at footage from the start of the promotion to the Premier League season. The crowds we were getting at the time were shockingly low. Thats when we had a team capable of gunning for promotion. We have to be realistic here - we are gonna be battling relegation all season. In which case 7,000 season ticket sales compared to the promotion season is VERY good.

Another thing. Colchester who were promoted with us only have a capacity of just over 6k. We have 1k more season ticket holders than they could possibly fit into the little ground! Southend only have a capacity of just over 12k, and we will break their maximum attendance on a few occasions this coming season. Against Wednesday and Leeds alone we could be looking at around 20k.

So stop feckin moaning, things could be FAR worse than they are. I reckon we have the greatest chance of survival out of the three promoted sides. We also have the potential to go on to bigger and better things in the near future - young squad - top class stadium, etc. We are the only one of the three promoted sides than can boast this, and potentially better than a lot of other Championship clubs.

ALWAYS LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE OF LIFE!
