Choice was between Prague, Amsterdam and Sunny Spain. We made the choice based on affordability.

Whos been there before? Is it a good place for 9 blokes with an average age of 40??

Benidorm was designed for nine 40ish blokes

It's a cross between Taybarns and Wellington Street.

Full of people that have drunk and eaten too much dancing to Abba.

15 of us went there 3 years ago for 5 days taking in a Lions Test match, same age group.

Not somewhere I'd go back to tbh, not my cup of tea. Don't get me wrong, we had a great time - 12 hrs sleep in the 4 nights there (6hrs on the last night!) says it all, didn't get over it for weeks. But it's as rough as a dogs arse.

1st night there in the main street (we were on the "Cafe Benidorm" patio witnessing it) and 2 groups emerged from our left and right - over 100 strong each. Scrapping like hell - knives, baseball bats etc. Fizzled out when one of them pulls out a gun. Didn't bother us tbh - they were only interested in each other. Talking to the doormen and it turns out they were local Algerians on a turf war. Lovely.

Plenty of boozers and "entertainment" there for 9 blokes though, just watch yourself.

And on a positive note, I avoided the Sticky Vicky show while others weren't so fortunate :D

Been to Prague and Amsterdam in recent years as well and would have chosen either before Benidorm tbh.

Yeah I would have preferred Amsterdam of Prague given the choice

But its not my stag do. Im happy to go anywhere really as long as its sunny and the companys good. Were certain to have a good time choose what.

    Thats very good.
One of the lads booked it through this girl he knows. Still, can't argue with £200 for a weeks holiday

    You're right

Most of the time the location doesn't matter anyway tbh - when you're on a stag you're on the lash every waking hour. The ones I go on are anyway lol. You'll have a ball I'm sure.

I've got one next month - but not as exotic. 70 of us to Warrington on the Friday morning taking in Ladies Day at Aintree in all our fineries during the daytime. Manchester on the Saturday - and I've got to get back for a 11am kick-off on the Sunday against sw*nsea. It's gonna hurt.

    RE: You're right

You cant go wrong with race days. We go to Ripon in July of every year then have a night round Harrogate. Tenner a race in one pocket and booze money in the other. On the odd occasion Ive even come home with as much as I went with - not very often though.

The best thing about Benidorm, and the like

Is the people that go there, and the fact that you can get decent English food.
proper breakfasts, pizzas and burgers. And they do good lagers, Stella and Fosters to name but two
