Never bought one before and I finally feel like a proper bloke. Apart from freeing off the door locks, which I've already done and it worked a treat, what else can I use it for? To be honest, the locks didn't use very much, I've still got a full tin and I'm in the mood for spraying stuff. Any suggestions?

How long does it last for? I'm sure the can I have must be at least 25 years old!

Spray a little onto a cloth and wipe stainless steel appliances with it, brings em up a treat but they stink (baby oils better ;)).

If I remember my childhood correctly then it makes a really good flamè thrower *

Battery connectors in the car - esp on wet days - or I'm just remembering the **** Astra I had in the early 90's.

Yup, there were always a couple of cans permanently in a useless Metro we once had, for that exact reason!

Had a metro before my Astra. It's a wonder I ever got anywhere

The cans were a damn sight more reliable than the car!

You're just reeling off my entire car history. I actually liked the Astra, but the Metro turned out to be two cars welded together. That was ****. Not as bad as a fiesta I had though. It wouldn't start when the engine was warm. It'd start fine first thing in the morning but if I went anywhere, stopped and then had to go somewhere else I had to bump it. Quickly got in to the habit of parking on hills, but sometimes had to bump it on the flat on me own. Never been so fit.

My metro would only start if it had been parked facing down an incline.

The Astra would only start on days when there was absolutely no moisture in the atmosphere - even misty days would knacker it.

Flame thrower is looking favourite so far. I'm guessing that's an outdoors activity?

The best thing for getting wax crayon off the wall when the kids have gone mental.

Unfortunately, the house will smell like Kwik-Fit for a couple of days

I prefer their early stuff, King, Tyler, One in Ten, Don't Slow Down, etc. They'd pretty much lost it by the time Labour of Love came out and they started dialling in classic reggae reworkings.

    That was funny wasn't it?

On a more serious note WD40 shouldn't be used by vegetarians as it's made out of fish oil and the "WD" part of the title means "Water Displacement"

I had a Honda 500-4 back in the 70's and when it rained the sparks would shoot off everywhere apart from down the spark plug to where they were meant to be going. WD40 sprayed in liberal doses used to calm things down for a short while.
