tickets for the Barnsley Star Special train. Can't wait now. I'm just trying to imagine the atmosphere on that train if we win. (rockon)
RE: Can You please give me some info on that mate. 8 a.m. setting off arrive Cardiff 12-12.30 set off back 7p.m.
They'll be selling seats at the front and back first. The best seats in the middle will be for the late-comers. ff
Me too I had booked to go from Sheffield on the normal scheduled service so cancelled them yesterday and booked on the Barnsley winners train Surprised they think its going to take until 12 - 12:30 to get there... the scheduled train from sheffield only took 3:40 and that was with a change in Birmingham... Ah well can sit back and relax plus not pay a hefty taxi fare from royston to sheffield train station.
RE: Question about train thought of that myself... doubt it with it being chartered for a football match I presume the same rules apply as for coaches.... :-(
Answer about train No ale on board (copper) Don't know about allocated seats It probably takes longer to get there than the Scheduled service becuase that it a nice shiny 125 Inter City express and ours will be a few old carriages strung together that were in service when Dr Beeching was in charge of the railways. (gent) It will have ripped seats, a strange smell and smoke drifting in through the gaps in the windows, which will be forced shut through decay. (dunno) But who cares. we're off to Cardiff (dancin)
Don't forget The scheduled service is operated by Virgin. Would you trust them to get you there. My missus used the same service to get from Wakefield to Swansea for a meeting the following day. She set off at 1.00pm and got there at midnight.
