to monitor my recycled waste, I was never informed that this would happen,is this invasion of privacy?</p> fecked if im paying nearly a grand a year so the council can spend it on monitoring my waste.</p> anyway, I recycled it.</p>
you mean.... That this is something that will most likely monitor the weight of your bin etc... how an electronic tag can actually monitor your recycling..... didn't think electronics had become so advanced myself
The bin truck will know which house the bin belongs to when picking it up, weighing it then emptying it. It doesn't turn the wheelie bin into some sort of robot.
We get a blue box.. for recycling here.</p> The tagwas in a small circular recess under the lip, some people on the street have them in, some don't.</p>
Weight i would have thought How much normal landfill waste and how much recyclable waste. Something needs doing in this country when it comes to recycling
yeah wots the point? surely people understand the whole concept of cardboard in one, glass in one and tins in another. are they gonna introuduce a quota or summat. what a waste of fu-cking money
solution to tagged bins throw all your non-recycle waste in your neighbours bin. If there's a charge for throwing too much rubbish out, at least you won't end up paying it.
RE: solution to tagged bins save it in the back garden, then hire a skip twice a year would be cheaper.
if that is so? then why are they putting tags on our bins ?check out under the lip in a round hole. The council have already applied to the Government for permission to run a scheme, ask you local councillor.
RE: if that is so? They can put tags on to measure, doesn't mean they are going to start charging by weight. Can't see how it would work - you'd either end up with more fly-tipping or get people throwing excess waste into a neighbours bin once they'd put them out.
RE: if that is so? Was on Jeremy Vine on Radio 2 other week, someone said they were going to padlock their bin lid shut to stop others putting rubbish in after it was put out for collection, until it was pointed out that if they did the binmen would not be able to empty it.
