Been out all day and just found out. What a Fecking joke. To announce that the day after one of the most embarrasing performances in the club's recent history beggars belief. You've got some front GS, you really have. What kind of miserable appointment is that - I think that GS does not have a fecking club what he is doing. He seems like a 'Les Reed' appointment, and I predict now that, if performances and results head south over the next two months, that there will be such an outporing of anger that he will be sacked before the end of the season and we will look like a laughing stock. Gordon Shepherd is running this club like a little corner shop - so long as the books balance then it doesn't matter how terrible it is. He sacks a manager becuase he won't spend / waste money on players no better than those we already have He then selects a number of players who he wants as he is desperate to be seen to be doing something - waste of money as they are no better than those we already have - Ritchie right all along. He then can't appoint anyone as he will show no ambition, on players, contract lengths etc So we end up with a negative nobody, who most fans would not even recognise if they passed him in the Alhambra, who will be able to attract nobody to the club, but who will just need to ruber stamp GS's recomendations anyway, who will basically act as GS's 'Yes' man, who will not inspire either the fans or the players, and who is basically an obvious 'You got the job 'cos you are the only one who would have it in the end' appointment. Let's face it, who else on earth would want to put their reputation on the line by becoming manager at a club that has no money, no ambition, and that still expects the manager to turn in miracles, and sacks them at the rate of one a year. You'd have to be fecking nuts. So we will now see no improvement on what we already have, will end up with the inevitable relegation, will lose players such as Hassell to clubs who give a toss, and will struggle badly next year as well. I know that John Dennis screwed up in the last months of his tenure but at least he was a football guy - this bloke has no idea of how to run a football club - I would have JD back tomorrow in his place. I know that people have to start somewhere, and we may all be looking at the next bright young manager, but it just feels such a negative appointment tonight, such a cheap option, such a 'last choice option', and I am so dis-heartened I feel sick. Oh, and GS, if you follow that up with the sale of players such as Hassell in January, then there will be fecking hell to pay.
When Something Is........ old news someone on here posts....... 1. Windass 2. Five match ban. Or.... 3. Notts County If you get any of them after one of your posts it's a pisstake bit of banter to basically tell you it's been mentioned.
RE: When Something Is........ Oh - OK then - We'll let one person mention the Davey appointment and we'll all just read that!
got me there bit of a guess still at least we are mostly talking football today which is a bit of a novelty
Sorry - just haveing a bit of fun As Dreamboy already explained its something said to a post that repeats previous news, based on an incident a long time ago on a BBS before this one where in a quiz which had been done and dusted a poster suddenly came out with the answer to a long gone question with the answer which was Notts County. Its been a standard reply since
believe me thats the next kick in the nackers you can bet your bottom dollar that either hassell or howard will go,maybe both!
