Well, ten plus Hayes. Sorry, mate, but you apart from that flash of skill for the second goal, you were a complete passenger for the whole 90 minutes. What's gone wrong, fella?

    I know you were there, but . . .

. . . was he not involved in the first?

Didnt he set up the first goal as well

I wasnt there but it sounded like he was quite involved - or the commentators were confusing him with someone else

    No idea.

Wrestling with two bored young 'uns at the time. Looked up to see Shukes put it in. Believe me, he was awful, esp. in the first half - most folk appeared to be laughing at him. Not the same Hayes I saw taking the piss at Bradford in the cup.

He did set up the first.

Howard did well to find him, and Hayes laid it off for Shukes to smash home.

    He's right

I criticised both strikers at half time but everyone pulled their finger out in the second half - superb!

    RE: great performance, great result

Didn't decide to go until midday today. Took the young'un with me and what a great decision it was, terrific performance and result to match.
We were stretched a bit early on and Wellens was running the show but we improved as the first half wore on. Top decision by Ritchie to go 352 for second half, we completely bossed the game after that. Top drawer performances from Reid, Kay, McPhail & Hayes (can't believe I've said that). I really thought we'd blown it after last week but I may now be proved wrong - here's hoping !
Also top marks to Oldham Ath for their pricing policy towards young kids. Barnsley FC take note....but I'm not holding my breath.

Austin was soon replaced by Hassell..

but Devaney was superb late on, and Hayes looked excellent in the second half after being garbage in the first.

They were certainly elated at the end as they came to applaud the travelling fans

and the players and fans deserved the applause to day

All they've needed for a while was belief...

it's the difference between scuffing a shot and bursting the net
