Horrible conditions. If the pitch had been as wet at the kick off as it was at half time the game would never have gone ahead. Though we did enough to deserve a point. Good travelling support and we made plenty of noise until we were 2-0 down. Steele - didn't do much wrong but should have done better for the first. Not sure there was much he could have done for the second. Foster - solid as usual, didn't give much away. Kozluk - quiet and consistent, did ok going forward but maybe should have crossed a bit earlier.
Souza - It says everything that they scored their goals when he was off the field. That's what made this game so bloody annoying. Our defence looked more solid once he was back on the pitch.
Nyatanga - Needs to be a bit more assertive when bringing the ball out defence but otherwise a fairly decent display.
Howard - this game summed Howard up for me. Lots of good touches, good close control and he poached a goal. But then he misplaces lots of easy passes and gives the ball away and also fluffed a couple of shots. At least he didn't get himself booked.
Leon - some good touches, but sadly lots of sh*t ones too. Too slow and can't shoot. I think Devaney might have been better with hindsight.
Hassell - an ok performance and better than some he's put in as a central midfielder. He got stuck in and broke up their attacks but then him and Howard would disappear for ten minutes. He also needs to have the courage to have a shot. There were a couple of occasions today when he could have cracked it from the edge of their area but always looked to lay it off. I'm not sure anyone on our team actually knows where the goal is.
Campbell-Ryce - our best player. He tracks back, tackles, and drives the team forward. Our second half resurgence more or less ended once he came off which speaks volumes.
Nardiello - despite some remarks on here, I thought he did alright. He made a good run to set up the goal and had a great chance to score when it was 0-0 but he dragged it wide. He faded a bit towards the end though.
Macken - Disappointing and contributed little to the game but then out of nowhere managed to hit the bar later on and went close with a header. Looked like he just didn't want to compete for headers half the time though.

Subs:

Odejayi - I've defended KO for a long time and always hoped he might come good, but I take it back. He's never going to be a 30 goal a season forward but what really f*cked me off today was how he and Macken were both so weak against their back 4, especially in the air. KO did win some headers but half the time it's like our forwards see the long ball coming and think "I'll wait and see if it bounces nicely for me...oh, it didn't...ah well." Lafferty showed how a line should be led and how goals should be scored today, our strikers could learn a lot from him.

Coulson - can't fault his effort and he went close with a good shot late on but wasn't really on enough to do much. Put in a lot of effort though.

Make no mistake, we are in deep /poo . The annoying thing is we have a decent defence, a good midfield but absolutely w*nk strikers playing in front of a team who don't know how to shoot.

The ref was poor and made a couple of howlers late on when their keeper picked up a backpass and one of their defenders handled it on the edge of the area.

As for the three tw*ts who sat behind me and moaned and complained about every Barnsley player all throughout the match, do us all a favour and either support the team and players when they get something right or save your money and spend your Saturdays at B&Q. Tossers.

I thought Souza was great again today. We'd have got a result if he'd not had to leave the pitch for those 6 or 7 mins. He's improved 100% since the start of the season. Great support most of the game - apart from the idiots who started signing "your not fit to wear the shirt" etc when we went 2-0 down. Hardly fair or warranted!!!
