A hard fought win today, make no mistake, and though we may still be in bottom three, you can't fault the players' motivation on this performance. It wasn't easy against the likes of Henderson and Wood, but well done to Stephen Foster at the back, with John Stones alongside him. Every Tykes player put in a shift today, and top of the lot for me was Stephen Dawson. Enjoy this early Christmas present all of you....................
Ta! Glad you lot that were there saw a win, I have seen fecking 2 this season, you buggers in London have seen that many down there Hope no-one saw any trouble mate.
Normally I would have gone to Millwall but had too much on today being but had convinced myself that wouldnt be a problem as I could live without seing us lose again. Almost mixed emotions obviously delighted we won but gutted I wasnt there now - its a while since I saw us score a winner in injury time ( its a while since I saw us score a winner at Charlton mind )
Coming back, squashed by Millwall fans on the train near London Bridge, those next to me were saying f*****g Barnsley are s**t, etc etc, and I was relieved they didn't ask me to join in the abuse! Still can't do a Cockney accent after many years down here, and I'd be in hospital if they'd known my allegiance.
For me thats is how we pick points up with hard grafting performances, not giving opposition time on the ball and shifting it forward at pace. When Hill came we played at a high tempo and got in their faces and outlasted them, then we seem to want to play like Champions league contenders tippy tapping abart, turn tele off in midweek Keef and get back to grafting performances and we might just pull it off.
God people so fickle on here you have to judge the manager on a series of results not just one here and they're look after the Peterborough game if we are still in bottom 3 we need to seriously look at things not just losing to fowls and winning at millwall all be it against ten men
Or perhaps people just enjoy seeing us win for a change and don't want to moan about everything possible when we've got all three points after a very good performance?
Well said Tomi! Enjoy the moment, as I intend to do very shortly with eight friends in a Thai restaurant. Today's win's going to make it all the more enjoyable.
He was at the game wasn`t he? He said he was going and was going to be drunk like at Charlton, hope he gets drunk at every game !!
In that case my sincere apologies!!!....and if Redstars drunkenness had a bearing on the result I'll think about sending a barrel with him on the coach.
