She has fluid on the knee. Her knee is swollen and painful and she can hardly walk. The X.ray shows no bone or pin displacement, which is good. She's been given codeine to take as the low dose co-codamol isn't working and has to see the Orthopaedic Surgeon at Sheffield on Wednesday for further assessment. The do is still on folks, it just means she won't be dancing!
May take you up on that if she's as bad tomorrow. She has been advised to carry on as normal with bending, stretching etc. - even though she can't bend her leg at the moment as it's too painful.
Well as a guesture of support I wont dance either then Hope she is feeling better tomorrow and is fit to come
You've never offered it me !! You know I suffer from acute bone idleness !!! She's aiding her recovery by tucking into a lamb vindaloo .
Leg up, Ice pack/ then heat pack oh and get Mum Dad to "wait on"...... Get well soon Laura. Enjoy tomorrow evening.
Am I too late for a Man Friday? The category for next week is "Southern hemisphere". Obviously my old fave Mr Alan Fletcher fits into this nicely (you once found me a lovely photo in a tux that I can't find anywhere)... but feel free to throw in any gorgeous rugby fellas from Aus, SA, or any South American footballers. This could be one great category! Only if you have time & all that!!
Crystal, I hope Laura is ok I'm sorry I can't get there tomorrow night.
I hope all goes well.

Thanks Tina. I always thought I was a determined person but Laura beats me hands down. She gave the pain she was/is in a score of 9 out of 10 at the hospital but was/is determined that NOTHING is going to stop her going out tomorrow night. She is so determined to show off her new outfit and high heeled boots! Don't worry about not being able to get, I'm hoping Chris remembers to bring his camera so we can take and post some photos.
You are all so brave. I sometimes, often wonder where you all et the strength from. You all stay so positive and that is how people can become so inspired. I hope that Laura will be able to go to Hawoth as we have planned. There will always be another time anda nother place but Haworth will be there forever, so keep your fingers crossed. I am longing to meet her. Sunday 15th on my calendar, unless we have to postpone. I hope all is well, I really do.
I assume that the vindaloo Is to take her mind off the pain in her knee by making her mouth feel worse!
Well that's a cue for a song "these boots are made for walking" Sorry I couldn't resist. Hope she's up to it. (Y)
We're all looking forward to going. I'll let you know how Laura gets on at the hospital on Wednesday.
She's a tough little cookie, I just don't want her to overdo it. She has promised to sit down instead of running round selling raffle tickets and said people will have to come to her instead.
