Went to see cricket but we wont mention that, loved Australia, Melbourne is better than Sydney, English fans were brilliant, shame the cricket wasnt lol.
There's nowt to see, nowt to do, but otherwise, I'm sure, it pisses over Sydney. Take that back, there's the MCG stadium tour. I would have done the SCG too, but was too busy doing other stuff when I was in town, funnily enough.
Just seen this Nutkins! and I have to say that having lived andworked in both Sydney and Melbourne that I personally much preferred Sydney. I lived in Balmain in Sydney which was just really cool, good pubs and bars, nice laid back atmosphere, and the ferry to North Sydney to work was a real highlight. From my front door I could see CentrePoint Tower and the Harbour Bridge. Weekends were spent on theNorthern beaches, Dee Why, Manley, Whale and Palm - better than anything that I found on offerin Melbourne. In Melbourne I lived in North Melbourne and worked in Footscray - proper ***** hole. Really didn't get on with life in Melbourne (it even snowed during my time there) and I found it dull compared to Sydney's bright lights. I will acknowledge that eating out in Melbourne was better than in Sydney. But Balmain has to be the best place that I've ever lived, it even beats Darfield.</p>
RE: I prefer Melbourne to Sydney too. I also vote for Sydney had a real good time at Manly, the ferry in and out is miles better than Yorkshire traction.
