Just got back from Hillsborough.

Great result, and much needed too.

The game was a tale of two halves. We were the better in the first half and Wednesday were the better in the second, as we got pushed further and further back. The first half, we looked hungry and willing. Chasing down every ball and attempting to play some good football. The goal was just deserved and was brilliantly taken. JCR was played in by Bogdanovic and he beat two players before drilling the ball past Grant into the top corner. The front two of Bogdanovic and Mifsud did ok in patches in the first half, but never really got the service they required consistently, and not at all in the second half.

Mifsuds temper was a bit concerning, and his diving was shocking to be honest, but he looked hungry and quick and I think he'll do well.

I've got to admit, Davey got the tactics spot on tonight, and we battled hard for a good 3 points. Hassel's goal line clearance was quality.

Great stuff lads; more of the same on Saturday please!

 

Even thought Wednesday had the majority of 2nd half they didn't create anything really. Anything into the box was met by Muller or the two CB's.

Me as well. I didnt want to - expected the usual and to be fair to the referee he tried his level best to help them.

Glad I went. Its my first win there since 1979.
