Best £15 I have spent in a long time - what a game - it had almost everything some great entertainment and hats off to peterborough - most sides at 3-0 down would throw in the towel but for 15 minutes they absolutely played us off the pitch and I was certain at 3-3 they were going to go on and win

Fortunately my record of never having seen us lose from a 3 goal lead is still standing ( I have seen us draw but thats another story from a long time ago)

Oh and to those who a few games ago were calling Davies the new Odejai hahahah! He his the real deal - a proper championship striker

Was listening to Fergie on Radio cambridge on the way out to the A1 and he stated that our winning goal would be the best scored in any game today and he may well be right ( he did speak some rubbish about 2 of out goals being lucky deflections - I'd give him the first but I thought the second was a clean hit)

One other thing if Peterborough play like that every week their fans are very lucky - they will win a lot more than they lose playing that sort of attacking football - and it was refreshing to hear their version of P or G with the fans generally recoginising it but just moaning about their defence a bit - well apart from the odd numpty who came on to blame their keeper - not sure he could have stopped any of our goals

Great to stand at a game again- there is just something about standing on a terrace that I prefer - maybe because its how I always used to do it - seems to give a better atmosphere as well

Ive seen all the goals Farnham and their keeper didn't stand a chance with any of them, 3 absolute cracking strikes from us.

Butterfields looks like it may have took a slight deflection.

If you had to rate that game Farnham would you give it a ten because it sure sounded like a ten.

Yes its definitely a 10 for entertainment and quality of goals
the twist of seeing a 3 goal lead evaporate but then to come back and win makes it extra special..

Maybe a bit less for quality of defending though :)

Was that against Ipswich when we were 3-0 up at 85 minutes?

I think it was a bit later than that with the Ipswich game, because two of their goals were in injury time.

We did it in 1979 too. 4-1 up against Stockport, when Les Bradd scored a hat-trick in the last ten minutes.

I'm sure someone else may be able to tell you about a certain game against Exeter, where we turned a 3-0 half-time lead into a 4-3 defeat. I didn't go to that one, but I did see the reverse, when we were 3-0 down at home to Fulham after 6 or 7 minutes and managed to win 4-3.

It's what makes football great. And what nearly made me throw the radio out of the kitchen window at one point this afternoon.

I was there on that awful evening as a lad of about 14-15....scared I was....and as for the 3-3 Ipswich game...I'm sure it was Scott Jones's debut....and when he was awarded the man of the match we were 3-0 up...thats how late there comeback was..

Simon Milton scored the second I think after Marshall's first... I think Marshall got the third too? Him or Milton again.

It was the most dominant I'd ever seen Barnsley in a game, could have been 6-0 and they'd not had a kick.

    Not Wattie's proudest moment...

You on about home to Ipswich back in the day? 3-0 up with five minutes to go, Dave Watson screwed up to put them back in the game on the way to scoring five in the last five minutes. Plus they had another chance to sneak it 4-3. Unbelieable game.

For that Ipswich match, I couldn't make it home for that one, so I had it on ceefax (ah, the good old days) and was with the girl I was seeing at the time, who was from Bury St Edmonds. Her family were all big Ipswich fans. I turned ceefax off at 4.45, when it was still showing us as being 3-0 up, to stick the videprinter on and Yvonne went to get changed so we could go out. When the videprinter got to our game and it said 3-3 my first reaction was that the BBC had mucked up and repeated our score for Ipswich, but the classified results confirmed it. Within minutes I was being laughed at down the phone by Yvonne's cousin.

But to be honest, with our record of conceding late goals, having players sent off after the final whistle (Futcher v Chelsea) and having things happen like play-off dates being announced just before Dean Wilkins stuck the winner in for Brighton against Ipswich, I don't feel that all is safe until I see the players leaving the ground.
