slightly disappointed, not such a great atmosphere following Saturday, the guy with the microphone was *****, couldnt get the crowd going at all, went to the ground initially and saw the bus leave, the players just looked a bunch of yobs, thought they would have been wearing suits for the reception, sure at the last promotion parade they were,
still, glad i went over , although the kids were bored and my wife had to take em back to the car before the end

    Was a bit flat..

..until the players got hold of the mike. Instead of answering stupid questions some of 'em started singing, Hassell being the first. Completely changed the atmosphere.

Agree about the man with the mike

his main problem was that he kept playing songs that under 40's wouldn't recognise - mainly England World Cup songs.

Would have been better if he'd got the crowd singing something like "Is this the way to Amarillo"

I think he failed to realise that

when a crowd is spread out in the open the sound doesn't carry quite as good as when you have some sort of roof to keep it in.

The sound seemed to be coming down anyway, it was a strange atmosphere

    Still enjoyable though

Laura was singing and shouting and really enjoyed herself.

To be honest, I was bored by the whole thing

Just playing a few "singalong" records (through a Karaoke PA System) does not qualify as entertainment in my book. The whole thing looked very unprofessional.

The less said about the foul language used by Paul Reid the better. Most of the players looked wasted.

I don't agree that it was "short notice" - as Radio Sheffield announced that this would be taking place (win or lose) in the special program with Andy & Rick last week.

I agree it could have been "staged" much better

but not having been able to get to Cardiff to soak up the atmosphere, and Laura being too ill the last time we got promoted, yesterday will do for The Big Lils.

Sorry.....thought you meant at the stadium, realised you meant yesterday at the parade.

Really disappointing and amateur imho. Shambolic in fact!

And the bloke in the tie asking questions splits his time between Oakwell and Swillsborough. Why don't the club employ someone capable of doing media type work or why couldn't Dave Cooper have hosted? Went away feeling let down after the euphoria of Cardiff.

    Should see my ankles!

I hobble and waddle now rather than walk! Can't wait for red junior to pop out! Good to see you all singing in the rain...shame the display was below par.

The bloke in the Blazer & Tie was hilarious!

He was trying to ask Ant'ny a series of half-baked questions, but Ant just grabbed the mic off him and starting some incoherent chanting. Same with Bobby Hassell.

    And where was mardy Nardy?

Our goal scoring hero was noticeable in his absence.

    Not so funny.

Considering he supports Owls alternately with Reds, makes a mockery of our celebrations, couldn't they find anyone else???
