Ok - posted in the first half that Orient were well on top of us. At that point they were. Second half we came out reinvigorated and for a period we might have taken a lead. A very good Houri free kick was tipped away at full length by their keeper, and although we didn't really create any clear cut chances we looked busy down the left hand side. Orient showed why they are fourth from bottom by squandering chances - two very good ones in the second half, although I would credit our keeper with making two phenomenal saves to keep his clean sheet. Holgate looked class throughout - dangerous going forward, composed at the back, always well positioned, and both pacey and strong when on and off the ball. I thought he was our most outstanding player. Leyton Orient played like a side threatened by relegation - they ran their blood to water off the ball and closed our midfield down with fierce determination. This took it's toll though and by the time the sending off came Orient looked dead on their feet and unable to make the extra man count. We struggled to get into our stride, but I would credit Orient's determination with making that happen. We stayed well organised, but won few corners or set piece opportunities around the area. The two sides cancelled each other out and a nil - nil was a fair result on the night. I'm pleased to see us remain unbeaten, and another clear sheet is excellent. Our fans were incredible throughout today and to see that many reds fans in London on a Tuesday night was exceptional. The players seemed touched by the support and came over to thank the fans and Josh Scowen would not be denied by the over zealous security staff in his attempts to shake hands with the fans. Conor Hourihane almost looked incredulous at the noise and the spectacle of the support at the end - a 0 - 0 at the end of a workmanlike mid week performance two hundred miles from home - he had a wry smile that I thought showed both a degree of humility and gratitude. I'm pleased to see the players getting that warmth from the fans after such an exceptional unbeaten run. I'm sure that the next three or four games will tell us whether we are going to get promoted this year or not.
Bit anonymous for me - but played most of match at right wing where he's wasted. Unfortunately was necessary as Pearson/Hourihane couldn't hold onto the middle of the park without Scowen. Think Johnson said in his pre-match presser that Winnall only had about 65 minutes in him so I'm assuming that it was always planned he'd be taken off at that point.
He was poor to be honest - never really in the game snatched at the one chance he got basically he looked like someone who had been out for 3 months and was off match pace Still only way he will get it back is with games Id have taken him off earlier when we took O'Sullivan off I was expecting it to be Winnall
