We were in control for much of the game, with every player fully committed. Gillingham were made to look poor, and hardly threatened in the first half. I thought Scowen and Pearson in midfield were very impressive, winning the ball on many occasions. And Scowen should really have put us in the lead before half-time when he blazed over when through on goal. Waring worked very hard up front, and deserved his reward. As for the ground, it's not fit for purpose where they "house" the away fans. You're up on a stand constructed with scaffolding, open to the elements, which today was blustery cold wind and drizzle! Warmed up a bit by the result. Can't post in more detail just now - out for a curry soon.
Glad to hear that scowern is proved to be a very good addition pleased for regular away following deserve the turn in form
Truly terrific support by you and from you. Together with the othe 370+ you should be commended for your commitment. The club should be rewarding guys like you for the time and endeavour you put into this club. We won and we won because it was a team effort. You were part of that team today.
I hope Scowen continues the way he's playing at the minute and not fizzle out like Bailey, Hourihane and Berry did. As it stands, he's probably been our best find of the season.
I think their decline in for had a lot to do with poor management and a lack of specified direction from our former manager. There was only the self motivated Sam Winnall that seem to improve under Wilson. And I think us fans were a lot to do with that.
Scowen has performed far better than the players you mention. They did impress, but never hit the heights Josh has. Hopefully he can keep at this level. Actually thought he had a poor first half (again) but grew in to the game just like Tuesday
He's already played as many games as the others, and was Wycombe's main man, week in, week out. To come here and - Crawley apart - look our best laiker, says it all. I know we can all argue about how Danny was faring as manager, but he has brought in a handful of really promising players. If it now takes Johnson to get more from them, so be it.
Listening to LJ after the game, he speaks too ******* well. His dad was at the game today, and he's on the FLS later. I'm guessing we'll get a bit of a positive mention. For once.
Agree with Whitey - Danny has brought in some promising players for Johnson to work with - for whatever reason Wilson couldn't get the best out of them - hopefully Johnson can
It was clear he's a clever bloke from the interview he gave when still at Oldham. It was perfectly pitched whether he ended up at Tarn or not
