Feels like we lost. I'm gutted - and the players must be too. They played well, worked hard just for a ****** of a linesman to see something that didn't happen. I've no idea how the referee who was 10 yards in front of the alleged incident looking straight at it let himself be overruled by the linesman 40 yards away. Non of the coventry players had even appealed and the ref gave a corner to start with! As usual it could have all been wrapped up before the break and again we drop points in the dying miniutes of a game. Ever feel like fate is conspiring against us?
Sorry about this Paul but... .. it did strike Kozluk on the arm. Having said that the Coventry fans around me (got there late and ended up in the wrong end FFS!) were aghast at the the referees reversal - even on the way back to the car the CCFC supporters were saying they got out of jail. A poor game I thought but plenty of willingness and passion from the Reds - Coventry were much worse though. Having said that we did show more in front of goal the last Saturday. Thought Hassle was MOTM. Good attacking show down the flanks but completely lacking in intelligent movement in the box. 2 points down the pan. I fear for Daveys job right now - stay up or go down. It looks to me like he's taken the team to the end of his coaching nouse, I'm sure some of the players we have would flourish under the right coaching. Perhaps it is time for him to move on - a shame, because he does occasionally get it right but he's a little predictable in many respects.
Did it? I really thought it was his chest. (Has it been on sky by the way?) The consensus around us was Hassel was MOTM. We also had a Coventry fan telling us that we deserved a 3 points tonight.
RE: I thought he gave a corner but Poet says not He did give a corner. The Coventry players did appeal for a penalty and ushered the ref over to the linesman who changed the refs mind. Lots of harsh words spoken and several cards were brandished. Did someone get a red after the final whistle?
I hope not... but our players did look like they were going to lynch the linesman at the final whistle
RE: I thought he gave a corner but Poet says not He signalled for a corner IMO, then caved into pressure to go speak to the linesman.
I think your bronze medal deserves celebrating in some way.
I'm thinking maybe a garden party, smart-casual, canapes and cocktails.
No mocking of course. Everyone's penny drops at different times. You might have to wear a pair of comedy specs or something to welcome you to the "myopic" majority but I'm sure you won't mind that.
It'll be a nice build-up to the grand occassion when either mrx or Johnny Coachman takes the Last Davey Man Standing crown.

Exactly Paul. Because we didn't take our chances we are talking about an incident like it was the only thing that cost us last night. With the Barnsley One article slagging off the paying fans in the morning and dropping two late points at night, it wasn't a good day.
