Terrific team performance today marred by a moment of madness by Sir Bobby. Could've and maybe should've been 2 or 3-0 up by half time, Mellis seemed to wake up after a shocking first 20 minutes and Chris Dagnall ran his ******** off today, looked absolutely knackered with more than 15 minutes left to play. We rode our luck on a few occasions in the second half, but on the whole we deserved our win. How Stones got back to clear that ball off the line I'll never know! Let's hope we continue this impressive home form, and once again our fans got right behind the team. Brilliant.
Stones is going to be a big big player for us, he was a bit shakey in a few instances when he came on but certainly not knocking the lad. Over moon we've got him on long contract. Not getting carried away with a win but a ****ing love been a Barnsley fan when all team gives 110% like they did today, that last 10 minutes a was kicking every ball and going in for every challenge!! Stones is going to make a top class defender. He's got it all at the moment, strength, pace, his distribution of the ball out of defence is great, can't believe how composed he is when he brings it out of denfence and plays an inch perfect pass. Great things lye ahead for the lad, hopefully he'll ply his trade for us for another couple of years yet.
