from a K-League game Sat behind the safe standing area. £5 in, beers in my seat and a 2-1 win for Incheon United. Can't complain. <img src="https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/p480x480/1004438_802414764452_2024665658_n.jpg">
How much of your view was obscured by people in front standing? I notice that those standing many rows in front of you in the standing area are (very slightly) obscuring part of the pitch, something which simply doesn't happen in a seating only area so how much is obscured for those unfortunates sitting directly behind them?
The flags came out when the ball was out of play, and that's all that obscured my vision; it didn't effect the view when the ball was in play as they put them down when the throw/kick was taken. Also, the seating is non-allocated and all of the stadium is open; you can go from stand to stand. We almost switched at HT to get out of the sun! Less than a quid a pint. I'll let you fill in the gaps.
No, you can see SOME of the goal line. Some of it is quite clearly obstructed by people 10 rows further forward. Does that happen in british football? I don't think so. My point was that I wonder how much is obscured for people sat directly behind the standers if thee is a slight obstruction even so many rows back. Luke answered that by explaining that seats are not allocated so anyone can move. The only thing I find odd about it all is that the standing area is at the front, I would have thought that surely it would be at the back of the stand personally.
Also, the photo isn't taken from the perspective of the viewer, it was designed to fit the beer in, as that was the best part of the game/experience The ground was only built in 2011 and is a fantastic example of a new compact stadium. Pretty unique and good for 21,000 people. Plenty of leg/arse room too. Here's some more info: http://modernseoul.org/2012/05/03/incheon-football-stadium-the-new-home-of-incheon-united/
