Easy for me because I live just outside Leicester. Some observations from the game: 1) 5-4-1 will not work for us, it lacks creativity and offers O'Grady no support at all upfront 2) 4-4-2 with two decent wingers (McCourt and Cywka) was much better - that should be how we start next game 3) Jennings was a total passenger - unwilling or unable to do any running, put enough weight on a pass or put some sting on a shot - drop him and loan him out or play him with the reserves 4) Our team lack fitness or pace - Leicester were moving around a lot quicker than we were and it made it doubly difficult to keep the ball out of defence when we finally won it back (Leicester had lots of possession) 5) Kennedy's marking cost both goals - he looks like he's lost confidence on the ball too 6) Crainie gets nosebleeds outside the 18 yard box 7) Butland needs to improve his distribution - the long hoof to O'Grady did nothing, and to be honest wasn't even near to O'Grady 8) Scotland should start - he might be getting on, but he's still cunning 9) Rose needs to bulk up still - he goes over like a cocky Bambi on ice 10) Fox is decent player - his positioning is right for a defensive midfielder, he's happy on the ball (hence our players gave it to him all the time, even when a bad option or misplaced pass; he can also cross, which gives us a decent threat at corners. Team next game: Butland Wiseman Mvoto Ramage (I've not personally seen him) Crainie Cywka Fox Perkins McCourt O'Grady Scotland
The team got good support from the start but didn't do much to maintain it and it went quite flat at 2-0 down. Our goal gave the fans and the team a bit more hope, but we'd left it too late to change the system and I've a feeling Leicester were doing only what they needed to.
I should also add and give credit to Mvoto - I was hard on him after Huddersfield but today he was possibly our best defender - this despite having to deal with Nugent who is all about movement and posed a tough challenge. Also interesting to see him used in an attacking role for the last ten minutes - he worried the Leicester defence quite a lot.
I thought Danny rose looked sharp and was unlucky on 3 occasions and his bullet header from corner was unlucky and took a great save
And the barnsley fans were brilliant , some great singing and some right chanting , we out sung the leicester fans most of the match
