Should have had it won at half-time. Missed chances again. Never in it second half. Couldn't get a touch. Davies didn't have a single shot to save all night. Looked 0-0 all along. Hammill challenge not that bad - overstretching after he'd lost ball, but his feet were up and under today's rules it would always be a red. According to some Bury fans as I walked back to the car, he'll "miss that final they've got against Fleetwood". Interesting interpretation.

i agreed with all of that Micky until you said that bury actually have any 'fans' lol.
ok we move on and if we can win at crewe for example, this draw tonight will look good as 4 points out of six away from home.

Oh there were a few there. Just a few, mind. Very civil lot, actually - good chat with them in the pub beforehand.

seriously Micky ive got nowt against bury as a place or as a team, and maybe im being a bit greedy here by expecting a win tonight. yes i would have taken this chance of a 0-0 but it still sounds like an opportunity of two points lost.
when we came down to this league though, wasnt this one of our biggest fears that we would keep meeting horrible talentless teams in lg one (teams like bury).

Oh they were terrible. A really, really poor side. Even worse than they were at Oakwell the other week. A point and a clean sheet away from home is always good, but this should have been three, and it feels like it. We need to rediscover a bit of that ruthlessness in front of goal. Lads could have had the deckchairs out by half-time.

stats can be a load of rubbish cant they, but going on the bbc footy stats we had 6 shots to their 1 for most of the first half. i had an annoying feeling that this was going to be a loss in a game that we had dominated in the first half. (like crawley away last season!!).
so yes im trying to take positives out of a 0-0 away from home, against an awful team and on an awful vauxhall conference state of a pitch.

Isgrove should have squared it to Watkins for a simple tap in early on, instead of shooting from an angle. Think had we scored early we would have won easily as they would have had to try to score
