From meeting **** to watch the match. So I'll get my post in before I do any catching up:

We made hard work of that at times and we certainly put ourselves under pressure late on. But a lot of that can be put down to the very different preparation for the game that the two teams had.

Stan being back seemed to make a big difference. Macken showed enough to hope he can form a good partnership there and Davey certainly believes so given the late substitution.

JCR looks to me like he's trying to do too much. Someone needs to take him to one side and say "This is what we expect you to do." Which in my book at the moment is take on defenders on the break and get some decent balls in, plus pick up balls held up and released wide by the front two and get them to the line and across. Better to do that well rather than try to do to much and for it to not come off. He certainly looked lost trying to pass and move a few times in a static midfield. The crowd getting on his back probably didn't help but he is frustrating. I hope he just needs some clear guidance.

Muller was superb again but lucky with the penalty call. Some good reactions, particularly the ball in where he was unsighted and the late low save.

Regardless of any technical debate over the penalty or the sending off they were incredibly stupid calls by the players. 11 men towards the end and we'd really have struggled as we tired. And I think that Barker was lucky to stay on after the penalty, despite the managers protestations that Togwell just ran into him.

So, all in all the usual nail-biting finish to a game when we should have been coasting but a great home run continued, 6 points in 3 days, 4th in the table and very happy. Right, I'm just off to look at the table again.
