we did not disgrace ourselves. We played well. Kay cost us with his rank stupidity, but Colgan had no idea about the free kick despite Chopra all but drawing him a picture via body language as to exactly where he was putting it.Other than our gifts Cardiff created as little as we did, not a lot. New guys looked ok. I see some on here slagging McCann ...he played very well....remember the camera dun't show the whole pitch or picture. IMHO Togwell should have stayed on and Richards taken off, that said Richards had as good a game as he ever has this season... Nardiello...hmm ...... well, the word Lazy easily comes here, and aguy who realises that with the Hungarians here he is now just a squad player. Davy needs to get a bit more involved from the touchline. The Ref, well he will be taking his after match tipple in the home dressing room not the aways...just a bit more than biased to the home team. For the sour grapers Chopra and MCFrail did nowt special, Chops had that goal , but to be honest it was Colgan in the nets a proper keeper woulda had it. If we play as we did tonight for the remainder, and the newbies settle in fast, then we have no reason to fear relegation.
fair comment ..... can't believe we gave Chopra the wholew goal to aim at,as you say though it was pretty obvious where it was going.Still think that given we have been struggling to score goals he started with the same bloody front two.Nardiello for me looks like he knows the writings on the wall.
RE: fair comment ..... Chopra announced in his interview after the game he was going to hit it the opposite side until the last minute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
RE: errrm I WAS there buddy....he pointed at one point at the spot he hit it at...telly dunt show eeerrrm, I am just stating the words that came out of the very mans mouth!!!
you've been home from the match for 15 minutes (ish) and you know that the tv doesnt show it? I agree with you though, colgan's positioning was awful. The freekick was similar to nardiello's against swansea in that it was nothing special but just hit to the side that the keeper had left totally exposed.
read it again buddy.... what It means is that the cameras do not catch everything...I have not seen the recording yet, but just assuming they did not pan on Chopra from the second the ref whistled for a free kick to the moment he took it...and like I said I LIVE DOWN HERE DUE TO MARRIAGE AND WORK...is that difficult to grasp..... hence it takes me 10 - 15 mins to get in from Cardiff football ground.
Yep silly mistake by Kay, to let them in , but why ho why won't they put a man on the line with these freekicks. If Hassle had been on the goal line he could have headed it away. Colgan was talking to the opposite goalpost when the kick was taken . Poor positioning on his part. My jest on the game two poor teams on the night, we created very little, and Cardiff sat back in the second half willing us to score. Apart from the Howard header and the miss by Richards that was it. Game over done and dusted for Cardiff. Devaney was the star man for us easily.
Tend to agree with most of that..... Where were you stood? I was the scruffy looking guy in the blue overalls...
Hassell looked as though he was thinking about standing on the post, changed his mind and then backtracked when it was too late.
