    This is the PM I sent off to everyone requesting it before I went off line last night :-
    "I thought I ought to clarify this matter up . On Friday , Y Goch and I were debating as to whether the list of potential signings in the Chronicle had actually been lifted from this BBS by a lazy journalist . To test it , I've made up the name of a player and stated we're interested in buying him . I also posted a photograph of an obscure Notts County player and Dirk produced some very impressive false statistics . A few years ago, some Liverpool fans did the same thing to a friend of their's who was a scribe for the Mirror . The player they said was due to sign was actually a character out of the Sky One drama Dream Team . A couple of days later , the Mirror ran the story not realising that the player in question played for Harchester United !!!!

    One poster objected to the skit , Young Nudger . I apologised to him for any offence caused , as this certainly wasn't my intention .
    Basically , I wanted to see if I could entice the Chronicle to run a story on a player that didn't exist . Obviously, this will now not happen and I have failed on that score . Hopefully , this will now put this matter to rest .

    It was a sense of humour thing.

    I thought it was a good way of seeing if the "crap" would be reported. After all, their are some real /poo flying about everywhere.

    Some people are so far up their own arses its unbelievable. It was a good theory that you tried to put into practice, an experiment lets say.</p>

    Scooby Doo head on now: Everything was going to plan until you pesky kids (ie Young Nudger) came along and ruined the plan! Drat!</p>

    Nudger is a complete fart. Ive always tried to give some of his posts the benefit of the doubt, but after this event, not any more. Sort of like a teachers pet grassing on another kid.</p>

    Great idea, but.....

    ....I don't think it would have made it as far as back page of the 'Chron, as I know for a fact that a couple of regular posters are employees of said newspaper.

    He is a master at winding folk up on here and they always bite.


    He's a massive BFC fan and you may just change your opinion.
