I thought it was a cracking game and well worth the 6 hour round trip from Glasgow. We didn't disgrace ourselves at all. Couldn't see from where we were but Owen's goal was offside and Martins's goal was handball, almost certainly. It was the first time I'd seen Muller and I can safely say...I feel safe with him in goal. I thought Souza played tremendously well, probably our MoTM but the whole team ran their socks off. We just lacked that little bit of cutting edge that they had, that's all. Good following from our lot, some decent put-downs (e.g. "shall we win a cup for you?") for the spotty geordie oiks who will probably never go to a match again this season but can I just ask, why the "Keano" chants? He's an ex-Manchester United, over hyped thug of a man, so why sing his name?! Get behind our team, don't sing about another manager who's got no connection with BFC. Rant over, aside from that the red army were superb. I am still bubbling with optimism about this team - they're still developing but I think we've got the makings of a good un. Up the reds.
I didn't really understand that one either S) one bloke behind me came out with one that made me laugh. "Where's ya famous? Where's ya famous? Where's ya famous Ant and Dec?" Made me laugh anyway.
Couldn't see from where we were but Owen's goal was offside and Martins's goal was handball, you said you couldnt see !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeh but would we be that bothered if some team started chanting Brian Laws' name? I know I wouldn't be.
i agree about the chanting but... ...keane was a fantastic player who showed passion for the game. he overstepped the mark on a number of occasions but to put him in the same bracket as teenagers who terrorise grannies is unfair. bias against Man Utd coming out?
Not only is Keane the Sunderland manager but he is disliked in Newcastle after is running battle with Shearer every time they played each other. Whatever it is it certainly got a response from the Toon chavs.
