kicking **** out of a lampost outside my door, the lamp went out, I confronted em, **** off old man they said, 3 of em were femele, the guy had a hood, Wife asked me if she should ring the police, I said no. I looked up neigherhood watch, and lo behold, Sy Police, dont have one in Barnsley now
Can i ask why a guy calls himself Liz Smith please ? I think the best option to deal with these thugs would have been not to confront them. Now they will probably cause you more grief knowing that it's you that's dobbed them in.
i agree the best idea is to let them vandalise everything outside your house and just close the curtains....

Worryingly enough I half agree with Dreamgirl... Although I think it's admirable that you chose to take a stand. I think it's a fine-line you tread in situations like this - by confronting kids in these situations you give the impression, obviously, that you're bothered thus making you a target for future wind-ups. If they realise nobody is reacting to their behaviour it sort of takes away the kick. That said when it comes to wholesale criminal damage maybe it's worth that hassle. It's easy for me to say though 'cos I live in fairly quiet street with very few problems of that nature...
RE: Worryingly enough I half agree with Dreamgirl... Yes that is the point i was trying to make. Plus they wasn't damaging your property anyway. At the most you should have got a sneaky look then rang the police with the description later. Doing the big hard man act of standing up for public property. Will just rile the idiots up even more now. Expect to see them back by the end of the week. Luckily for you mischief night is over for another year.
Pfffffffffff. get out wi deputies stick and give em a crack.Make sure you've got black widow out and some bolliez ready for when they return later...oh yes...
RE: Worryingly enough I half agree with Dreamgirl... YOU REALLY ARE A ****** DB3K. The reason that thugs and young hooligans are so bad , is that people like you , do nothing to stop them. Ignoring them doesnt stop them, it just makes them think that they can get away with everything. The Police in Barnsley do not give a damn, they would not even come out to our house when the window was shot through, just gave us a crime number. The gang of little twits hang around all the time , but if you report them, the policesay they have no resourses to do anything.
RE: Worryingly enough I half agree with Dreamgirl... I said ignore them until they stop. Then you report them with a good description. I am not saying to ignore them completely, because they should pay for what they did. Kicking a lamp post in has gotta hurt your foot more then the lamp post. Obviously not in this instance.
RE: Worryingly enough I half agree with Dreamgirl... we have a big antisocial behavious problem in barnsley with kids, big whooptidoo they kicked a lamppost in you was lucky that when you came out they didnt kick you in, if you see them mugging an old lady or beating someone up who is innocent thats when you stand up for something like a lamp post they can be fixed you coming out and getting beaten up maybe even murdered(prob never happen round here) cant be mended, some people who are young enough at about 25 years old should come out and say something but then they will get the same trouble probably 10 times worse because they are young all i can say is no matter what you went out and i can guarentee they will be back, if its the rough places in barnsley u live watch out because a really big gang will come back e.g wosbrough common(aka the bronx) kendray bank end athersly thurnscoe goldthorpe, infact anywhere in barnsley except silkstone and that there posh
RE: Worryingly enough I half agree with Dreamgirl... do you think that older people weren't in gangs?
you young uns think you invented everything.

RE: Worryingly enough I half agree with Dreamgirl... the worlds getting scarier you only have to look at certain websites which kids are making and they are holding guns and knives and stuff like that, there is a certain website of sheffield people with hundreds of kids walking down the streets with crowbars and knives and guns baseball bats and everything ready to attack rival gangs, no doubt it will be the same here soon, well it is with rival gangs but not with knives, the wcb(worsbrough common bronx) are wanting to fight the mbe(monk bretton elite) and both of them are wanting to fight the b-unit(barnsley unit) and same with bbm(bad boy massacre) well the bbm are just stupid little chavs who are always under the mushroom in the town centre who think they rule everyone and a few of them has been done for carrying weapons with them it is daft
RE: Worryingly enough I half agree with Dreamgirl... if you want to fight, you should fight 1 on 1 with your fists no weapons no gangs no nothing but there you go times have changed
I find the best way with young uns is to talk to them. "Come on mate, you'll turn the place into a **** hole." That kind of thing. Then engage them in some conversation, find out what makes em tick. Sometimes you'll be the only adult who's treated them with any civility that month.
We thought Thatcher's children were bad, well these are their children. Sad thing is that sometimes all it takes is just to treat them like human beings.

RE: I find the best way with young uns is to talk to them. aye , and before ya know it they'll be in, supping ya tea, smokeing ya fags and eating you last tin of beans...like rats a tell ya.. rats..
