and when nobody does you have a go for them not commenting. Maybe people didn't comment because they knew it as a loaded post.

If you feel you need an opinion. No it's not a racist joke. It's a bit distasteful ... but that's just down to my personal taste. It's not the sort of joke I'd tell, but if you think it's funny that's fine, it's a free country.
