Two of their questions were, "Are you breathing and conscious?" and "Is the bone showing through your skin?"

They obviously don't realise how much of a wimp I am if they think I'd phone them instead of 999 at the sight of a bone sticking out!

Did you answer no to the "Are you breathing and conscious" question - I am sure I would have done. Doesnt inspire confidence if thats a genuine question

I just laughed and confirmed their suspicions that I was conscious.

I'd like to know who, if they found their bone sticking through the skin, would say, "don't bother phoning 999, just get NHS 24 on the phone and see what they say"

Its a wonder they don't combine it in with the atos assessment "can you walk two steps with or without assistance if so you are fit to work if not we'll find you a sitting down job.

I wonder what the process is if somebody says no. What a bloody stupid question.

She did actually joke about finding a job sitting down or asking my boss to put me on "light duties"
