    Wondered about that was cream crackered went to bed early never really got off tossing and turning etc

    BTW we were playing Cardiff, Archie scored a hat-trick, was voted DOTM. Got attacked by Toby Tyke after the game though, injured for next game.

    Tossing and Turning

    Is a commonly used expression used to describe the process of repeated movements made by a person in a vain attempt to find a comfortable position in which he/she can fall asleep

    Getting off is also a common expression describing the process when a person passes from wakefullness into a sleeping state.

    If you know any other meanings I think you'd be better off PMing me, otherwise your Dad will be round :D

    OK I'd better watch my language in future. How about this...

    I was unable to transfer from the level of conciousness known as being awake to the state which is commonly referred to as being asleep, which is recogisable by closed eyes, rythmic breathing and a vacant expression reminiscent of that on the faces of long term Sheffield Wednesday fans. In a forlorn attempt to reach this state, I continually turned over and adjusted pillows, blankets etc to find exactly the right ...... well you know what I mean.
