    How many times did you see him play for Motherwell? Genuine question, because whenever I'm not at Oakwell I try and make it along to Fir Park and I saw a lot of JOB before we signed him.

    I was trying to think of the u21 players ready to make the stepup.

    Rooney's the best of the group for me even though he put Sam Patterson on the bench at Cardiff.

    Also giving his attributes i think he could do a good job there. Lot of energy...

    When he first went to Motherwell he was bloody awful, Craig Brown(the manager at the time) said he was playing like a school kid, and JOB agreed with him. He only really had one season and a bit of real promise and potential before we signed him. Agree with you regarding his energy, and dare I say it, his endeavour :)

    I'm not saying i know a lot about him LDRed, it's just thing's he's said since been down here.

    Scottish football normally kicks off a bit before the English match and i normally watch a bit then but i can't remember him playing until barnsley were linked with that mulgrew who went to Celtic.

    Wondered if o Grady could do a job at centre half? Not ideal, I know. Otherwise I reckon o Brien at right back might be the way to go.

    I don't watch much apart from Motherwell because they're my local team, and I used to go to midweek Celtic games with my ex. Mulgrew would've been a great addition, just for his dead ball abilities! Although he did lock his kid in the car in the middle of Glasgow City Centre :)

    other way to cover left back would be Perkins. But who would he play in the centre? Rooney and RNL???????

    I agree. Whether we like the idea or not, we may well end up having to play one or two of the kids if we can't get some of the senior players fit.

    Jim O'Brien at right back that must be a joke? I've said it so many times this season and I'll say it again, he is the worst one on one defender at the club. There's so many occasions where oppostion wingers have skipped past him like he's not even there. I like Jim and you can tell he loves playing for our club, but his 110% work rate and endless energy don't make up for his lack of composure and decision making. He has been awful for a couple of month now and he's a liabilty when trying to defend results at the end of games. I've never seen him play but I know already that Jones will be a better option at right back than Jim. This is all IMO of course.
