that Charlton, Southampton and Watford are all going into receivership this week. If they do, lubbly jubbly, 10 points off each. Watford would have 37 points, Southampton 30, and Charlton 19 - all nailed on relegation dead certs at that.

    Fingers crossed?

I wouldnt want us to stay up just because 3 teams were docked points for going into admin.

I'd be very surprised if it happened

I think one of them could though - just not all three.

wouldn't bother me. I'd rather stop up at anyone's expense.

Of course, I'd rather be safe and midtable off good results - but that being said, anything is preferable to relegation. (Y)

I don't see how any Barnsley fan can be happy at the prospect of another club experiencing what we have.

very sanctimonious. Perhaps you have forgotten what it felt like when Norwich relegated us all those seasons ago? My main priority is that Barnsley fans don't through that again.

If Southampton, Charlton and Watford have tried to go back to the Prem by spending money they haven't got they deserve the financial hardship that goes with it, and the ten points off.

Don't try and pretend this is a gentleman's club - you've got the likes of sheffield united taking west ham to court, you've got a billionaire pumping money in at QPR, you've got Chris Morgan nearly killing Ian Hume and getting away with not so much as a one match ban - i haven't got time to empathise to such an extent with clubs I frankly have absolutely no affinity at all with.

Oh, and by the way, I didn't see you shedding tears for Leeds United when they went in to receivership - or is that different?

Bottom line - only thing that counts for me in this game is that Barnsley don't go back to the ale house league. End of mate.

Wish it was true but can't see it. Watford are edging to safety so I can't see them going into admin at this stage, Southampton have a fighting chance so can't see them either. Charlton are down so if anyone does, it will be them.

    Doubt it with Charlton

there have been a few articles over the past couple of weeks about the demise of Charlton over the last 3 years and they all mention that they are in a good position financially.

Also, seeing as we aren't even in the bottom 3, I'd like to think we are capable of staying up on merit rather than the demise of others. Wouldn't wish that on anyone, well apart from Leeds!

    Totally agree

If we stay up, lets stay up because we deserve to, not because some teams are unfortunate.

If the rules in 2002/03 were the same as they are now

we'd have started 2003/04 in the bottom league.

Another one - there is no E in TASTY.

Pedantic I know, but I find it very irritating that people can't use our language properly, it's possibly the richest language on Earth (4 times the vocabulary of French for example) so use it.
