One of my favourites. We used to play this in the barracks before a tour. Always inspired us.

There's a reason Irish history isn't taught in English schools

There's probably more blood on the hands of the British than there is on theIRA (just do some internet searchs on the Black and Tan andyou'll get in idea of the birth of the IRA)... which doesn't make it right, but if the boot was on the other foot ... would you lie down and take it? I used to work with in Irish woman who loathed the IRA and republicanism, but she also said "if only the English knew what had been done by their government, they might at least understand why people do support them"

I went to Dublin a few years ago and visited the old jail there on a historical tour. It was where the British held IRA prisoners a 100 years ago.Man we were barbaric.

At least Adams and McGuiness have realsied that violence isn't the answer in the end and turned away from it. I think it's very brave, considering some people in Ireland view them as traitors to the cause and would happily see them dead for it.

    Yes but....

the same democracy that allows those two pricks to prance allows parliment also decrees that northern irish people want to remain part of United Kingdom.... people can go on about how horrible the english were etc etc but this is here and now..... the majority of people in northern ireland want to remain in the UK and adams and his 'freedom fighters' dont have a moral fibre in their bodies.

This history thing gets me sometimes.... lots of people on this board wait like coiled springs to put england down because of our history.... what about those italians that invaded our country, or those pesky swedes raping and piliging etc etc .... repeat to fade
