On player. Quite possibly the most open and honest interview I've ever heard.

The stand out thing is when he was asked what he was hoping to achieve this season, he said confidently and without hesitation, 'Win the league'.

Then began reeling off the list of clubs he'd spoken to, including a couple in the championship. Probably got a little telling off for that.

Can tell he was dead chuffed with being given his first taste of, as he called it, adult football.

He speaks very well and doesn't seem to hold back which will make him a media man's dream.

Just watched it myself now. Agree with what you've said, confident and open and apparently turned down MK Dons, Huddersfield and Peterborough. Johnson must talk a very good game.

Looking forward to see how he gets on this season hope he tears league one up. Who was the other clubs he spoke to? Nice to see players wanting to come here and play for us too.

He mentioned Huddersfield, McDons and Peterborough, but I read last week that the list interested was longer.

Is he only 17, then? I can't imagine they'll ask him to play every game then, at that age.
I've only seen him on youtube but he looked like Jack Wilshere, and every inch a future England player. With him and Stones, we'll probably have a couple of ex-Barnsley players to cheer on in an England shirt in a couple of years.

Andy Giddings said 10 other clubs wanted him and Ben Mansford confirmed it on Radio Barnsley tonight. He named three and i've seen him linked to Millwall, so still another half a dozen.

Good to see Huddersfield didn't beat us to another signing. Not bad for someone only 18 today.
