assuming Constantine signs i reckon we need a minimum of another three players to stay up this season. We lack cover out wide. A player such as Alan O'Brien from Newcastle on a loan would give us another wide option. Up front i think we need a bit more experience and strength. Is Steve Claridge still available? Most importantly though is the centre of defence. We need a real leader on the pitch. I dont think we have any real leaders in the team right now. Hopefully we are scouting for experience at the back. So a minimum of three more players and we might just about have a team.
Centre half essential the other two would undoubtedly help (a striker but not Claridge) but, as Colgan does little or nothing in terms of commanding the box, we need a big defender to do that job. Before the transfer window I would have said we need a centre half, a striker and a left back. Two out of three already although how good and Man U youngster will be is doubtful.
Claridge..........never been a quality player and the last I heared anything about him he was a Weymouth. Ez tha bin on't booze all afternoin. (raiseaglass)
