Very funny some of them too. I take on board everyone has their opinion/taste in clothing etc. I think the point im trying to get through is that i can and never will associate BFC with the colour blue. Not in any shape or form. Blue in my eyes (in football) is to red what black is to white (in general scheme of things) in that it seems very opposite. I always thought BFC (going back many years) were associated with having white and black away kits. If anyone can rememeber way back to when kits were available to buy i think i had a Hayseldens white shirt with black trim? I thought this was because on home kits, scarves etc black and white would appear along with the red. On occasion yellow would be the colour because generally it seemed a neutral colour (Torquay aside). It seems some clubs have gone away from the traditional colours for away strips (ie Man U) who appear to bring out a red, white, blue and just about any other colour kit. Basically because they know how to exploit fans. Ooh different colour kit, lets buy it even though it doesnt appear to be connected to the club. But generally clubs do stick to a formula there or there abouts most seasons. Leeds usually go yellow or blue (notably because they were the trim on the white home kits.) Same goes for Spurs (often blue), West Ham (white/sky blue), Bolton (sky blue), Others often go for yellow (Arsenal, Charlton, Liverpool, Southampton, etc) In general i think most clubs do this because you still somehow appear recognisable as a fan of that club in an away shirt. It only takes you a couple of seconds to realise who the club is that the person supports without even looking at the badge. Though obviously just look at the giant Perrys sign if you want a clue for BFC shirts. For those who feel we cant produce a kit that wont clash then how did we manage in the prem season? White with red and green trim. Play off season white with black and red trim. Very smart kits and ones which i feel have a very important factor to them. They dont age as fast as other kits. The blue kits look jaded as soon as the season ends unlike the home and the white kits. Something people have been moaning about on here many times. Constant changing of kits. Well for me the white 3rd kit from last season looks fine as does the previous white ones many years on. Many will disagree with me but i felt i had to explain myself properly/while sober. I will shut the f**k up now and look forward to the new season. YOOO REEEEDDDDDDZZZZZ!
Just a point " Leeds usually go yellow or blue (notably because they were the trim on the white home kits.)" I think you'll find that Leeds normally go for Yellow/Blue because that was their home kit back in the 1960's prior to Don Revie taking over. Now how would you like that if our manager decided that we should play in all-white because the great Real Madrid do?!
