. . . .that Robins has done or proven nothing yet. He's still inexperienced at this level, and, we're still very much in a relegation fight at the minute - it seems people have forgotten that over the past couple of weeks.
Thanks Mate.... ...you remind me of my mate who says, 'not long now and the days will be getting shorter'. He normally comes out with that one in the last week of May. It really cheers me up (doh)
No it's not. It's because he's been in charge for 4 games of Championship football. That makes him inexperienced at this level. What he's done so far looks good, but it means nothing yet.
I travelled to Reading in the late 70s to watch Allan Clarke play his last match and lose 7-0. He still managed to turn the team around and gain promotion. Those were the years, Clarkey and Hunter!
No he didn't We lost 7-0 away at Reading in the 79-80 season when we finished 11th in division three. Hunter got us promoted the following season.
RE: No he didn't and he took em darn pit to "learn" em a lesson what's the equivalent these days? Tek em darn that call centre in Manvers? Anderson Da Silva, ont phones, Sorry Sir, my mouff is full of chikkin Piri Piri, can't speyk right nar mucka
either that or stocking shelves in ASDA Back in Clarkey's day the footballers would have earned more than the miners, but not by a huge amount. The better paid players at Barnsley will now earn more in a couple of weeks than a lot of people earn in a year.
Yeah a good cup win is cushioning the blow of the poor league form. Now where has that happened before...
Seems you're getting some abuse But everything you say is still true. I'm sure if you asked Mark Robins he'd admit that he's proven nothing yet and we're still in a relegation fight. Things definitely look to be on the up, but it's still early days.
